How Delivery Works

Every order follows the same simple four-step journey, from checkout to your doorstep.

1. Place your order
Add items to your cart, choose a delivery method, and complete payment securely at checkout.

2. Order confirmation
You'll receive an email or SMS confirming your order, followed by a dispatch notification.

3. On its way
Our courier partner picks up your parcel and brings it to the delivery address you provided.

4. Delivered
Receive your order, check the contents at handover, and you're ready to go.

1. Delivery Areas

We deliver to all 25 districts across Sri Lanka, including Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Galle, Matara, Kurunegala, Jaffna and beyond. Some remote areas may take an extra day or two and, in rare cases, may incur an additional handling charge — we'll let you know before dispatch if this applies to your order.

2. Delivery Methods

We offer a few ways to get your order to you. The available options will be shown at checkout based on your location and the items in your cart.

  • Standard Delivery — our default option, handled by our trusted courier partners across the island.
  • Express Delivery — faster delivery within Colombo and surrounding areas, where available.
  • Store Pickup — collect your order from our store at no extra cost, once we confirm it is ready.

3. Delivery Charges

Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the delivery location, item weight, and the size of the package. The table below gives a general guide — your actual charge will be confirmed at checkout.

4. Delivery Times

Most orders are dispatched within 1 business day of payment confirmation. Estimated delivery times after dispatch:

  • Colombo & suburbs: 1–2 business days
  • Other Western Province areas: 2–3 business days
  • Outstation districts: 3–5 business days
  • Remote areas: 5–7 business days

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by weather, public holidays, fuel availability, or courier delays beyond our control. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next business day.

5. Heavy & Oversized Items

Some products in our range — such as batteries, hub motors, motor kits, kids cars, and wheel sets — are heavy, fragile, or oversized and need special handling. For these items:

  • Delivery may take longer than standard timeframes;
  • An additional handling charge may apply and will be confirmed before dispatch;
  • Delivery may be limited to certain areas or to ground-floor / kerbside drop-off only;
  • An adult must be present at the delivery address to receive the item.

6. Order Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, we'll send you a tracking number (where available) by email or SMS so you can follow its journey. You can also check the status of your order at any time from the My Orders section of your account.

7. Receiving Your Order

  • Please provide an accurate delivery address and an active contact number at checkout so the courier can reach you.
  • An adult should be available at the address to receive the parcel.
  • For high-value or fragile items, we recommend opening and inspecting the package at the time of delivery before signing.
  • Once the parcel is handed over, risk in the goods passes to you.

8. Failed Delivery & Address Changes

If the courier is unable to reach you or you're not available at the address:

  • The courier will normally attempt delivery once more or hold the parcel at the nearest depot.
  • If the order is returned to us after multiple failed attempts, you may be charged a re-delivery fee.
  • To change a delivery address, please contact us as soon as possible. We can only update the address before the parcel has been dispatched.

9. Damaged or Missing Items

If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, or if any items are missing, please:

  1. Note the damage on the courier's delivery receipt at the point of handover, if possible;
  2. Take clear photos of the package and the items;
  3. Contact us at support@evshop.lk within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos.

We'll work with you to arrange a replacement, repair, or refund in line with our Refund & Returns Policy.

10. Frequently Asked Questions

My order hasn't arrived yet — where is it?

If your order is still within the estimated delivery time, please give the courier a little more time, especially during weekends, holidays, or bad weather. If your tracking shows no movement for more than 2 business days, or your order is past the estimated date, email us at support@evshop.lk with your order number and we'll follow up directly with the courier.

Do you deliver on public holidays?

No. Our couriers do not operate on Sri Lankan public holidays or Poya days. Orders placed during those days will be processed on the next business day.

Do you deliver to my area?

Yes — we deliver across all 25 districts in Sri Lanka. A small number of very remote locations may take longer or require an additional handling charge; in those cases, we'll contact you before dispatch.

Is next-day delivery available on all orders?

Next-day delivery is only available in Colombo and surrounding areas, for in-stock items, and where the order is placed before our daily dispatch cut-off. It is not available for heavy or oversized items.

Do I need to be there to receive the delivery?

An adult should be available at the delivery address to receive the parcel, especially for high-value or heavy items such as batteries and motors. For some items, you may also be asked to sign for receipt or show ID.

Can I pick up my order in person?

Yes. Select Store Pickup at checkout and we'll let you know when your order is ready to collect. There is no delivery charge for store pickup. Please note : Store Pickup only available for Jaffna district
